About Wendy
I am a mom of two beautiful girls, a volunteer fire fighter and a I have worked as a Social Worker in several arenas within Shasta County for about 30 years.  Currently, I am the Executive Director for First 5 Shasta, an agency dedicated to assuring the youngest members of our community and their families have all the systems put in place to build a healthy foundation in life.  This spurs my passion to make sure that includes mitigation and prevention of trauma.  I have provided many trainings in the community and state around various topics and I am also an ACE interface Master trainer and Hope Navigator.  The combination, provides a more wholistic look at trauma and then how to address it within your own life, your families life, the organization and the community.

About Wendy’s CMBM experience:
Becoming a facilitator for CMBM has helped with a variety of tools that I can utilize and now share with others in the journey of self-healing.  I enjoy watching the connection a group makes with each other but more importantly with themselves, in a way that I had never experienced before being able to participate in CMBM.  There really is a technique or tool that will help each person, in the moment they need it, in the fashion best suited for the individual during that time.
